Age-Based Eligibility Announcement

The NCAA Division I membership has adopted an age-based eligibility model, effective August 1, 2026. Further details are provided on the Eligibility 101 page. Current student-athletes and those initially enrolling at an NCAA school in the upcoming academic year should work with the athletics compliance office at their NCAA school to discuss this change. Additional information regarding a student’s period of eligibility will be available in certification accounts in early August.
