Violations of NCAA legislation regarding the provision of false and misleading information and the inducement of othesr to do the same involving the former men's basketball coaching staff. This case also involved impermissible phone calls, impermissible contact and unethical conduct by the former head men's basketball coach. The three former assistant men's basketball coaches were found for failure to cooperate and act with honesty and sportsmanship. The institution was cited for failure to monitor.
Additional penalties imposed by the committee were the following: public reprimand and censure; two years of probation; show-cause order place on the former head men's basketball coach for a three-year period; show-causes placed on the three former assistant men's basketball coaches for a one-year period; annual compliance reporting required during the two-year period of probation.
