Proof of graduation will be used through the remainder of the academic year in which a high school's account status
changes if its previous account status permitted the use of proof of graduation. For high schools that do not operate
on a traditional academic calendar, proof of graduation will be used only through the completion date of coursework
for which the student was enrolled prior to the change in account status. The status of core courses will remain
through the academic term (e.g., semester, quarter) in which a high school's account status changes. For schools
with nontraditional academic calendars, core course statuses will remain for students with a course enrollment date
prior to and including the date of school status change.
Please review information regarding your school and district. The information listed
below applies only to courses completed at the above school.

The following list of NCAA courses are maintained as a guide for college-bound student-athletes seeking
an NCAA initial-eligibility certification. The list of NCAA-approved core courses does not, nor is
intended to, signify accreditation, certification, approval or endorsement of any high school or
specific courses by the NCAA or NCAA Eligibility Center and is subject to change at any time and
without notice. Core-course information included on this website is provided for guidance purposes
only and should not be solely relied on as an indication of NCAA initial eligibility. Certification
of a college-bound student-athlete is case specific, and the Eligibility Center has the authority
to determine in its sole discretion whether the college-bound student-athlete has met all criteria.

When a high school indicates a course is offered exclusively to students with
education-impacting disabilities, a "=" symbol appears next to the course title.
NCAA legislation permits a student to receive credit for a core course only one time. As a result, if a student
repeats a core course, the student will only receive credit once for the core course, and the highest grade
earned in the course will be included in the calculation of the student’s core-course GPA. Likewise, if a
student completes a course that is duplicative in content with another core course, the student will only
receive credit for one of the duplicative courses, and the course with the highest grade earned will be included
in the calculation of the student’s core-course GPA.
Please review the assigned reason code for details regarding the decision. If you believe the
“not approved” reason code (RC5, RC11, RC12 or RC17) was misapplied, you have the option
to
submit pending course documents
for review.
If a course is designated as RC25, RC21, RC22 or RC27, it means a “not approved” decision was
rendered after reviewing core-course documentation provided by your school or district.
The previously provided core-course information can be found in the
Documents tab
and the detailed “not approved” decision email can be found in the
Decision Emails tab.

education-impacting disabilities, a "=" symbol appears next to the course title.
NCAA legislation permits a student to receive credit for a core course only one time. As a result, if a student
repeats a core course, the student will only receive credit once for the core course, and the highest grade
earned in the course will be included in the calculation of the student’s core-course GPA. Likewise, if a

in the calculation of the student’s core-course GPA.
Staff needs more information to determine if courses meet
NCAA Bylaw 14.3.1.3 and core course criteria. These courses are currently on hold.
Without action, they cannot be used for NCAA initial eligibility certification
**Next Steps for Primary/Secondary Contacts:**
If RC8 is assigned:
Go to NCAA courses → "Submit Pending Course Documents" tab.
Locate the course title(s) with reason code "RC8" and select "Attach."
Submit all required core course documentation for review.
Note: if you’ve already uploaded course documents, and it still says "Additional Information Required,"
go to NCAA Courses → Decision Emails tab for details on what is needed
If RC9 is assigned:
Go to the "Tasks" tab.
Review the assigned task.
Click "Upload documents."
Submit a response addressing all aspects of the task.
Courses pending individual review require the submission of student-specific documents to determine whether the
course may be used in the NCAA initial-eligibility certification process. Unless otherwise noted in this account's
Additional Information, the high school is required to provide: (a) the teacher's record of grades (e.g. gradebook)
specifying each item listed in the gradebook and the date and grade earned for all recorded items and (b) a complete
copy of the student's work for all items listed in the gradebook, including his or her name and date on each document.
Ungraded student work (e.g. class notes, ungraded activities) will not be considered in the review.
