14.5.4.6.7 Participation Prior to Certification. If a two-year college transfer student reports for athletics participation or initial enrollment at the certifying institution before the student's high school or two-year college academic record has been certified, the student may practice, but not compete, during a 45-day period, provided the student meets all other requirements to be eligible to practice. An institution may provide athletically related financial aid to the student during this period, provided the student meets all other requirements to receive athletically related financial aid. After the 45-day period, the student shall have established minimum requirements as a transfer student to continue practicing, to continue receiving athletically related financial aid or to compete.
